John Humphrey's photographs cover a wide range of subjects, including landscape and portrait. He specialises in close-up, floral and abstract studies using a combination of digital and film images.

John is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. His pictures have been shown in many exhibitions, including the London Salon of Photography and the International Print and Projected Exhibitions of the Royal Photographic Society.

John runs a programme of photographic seminars on Art and Macro Photography for the Royal Photographic Society, details on http://www.rps.org/events/

Together with the photographer Sue Bishop, John leads Epson Print Academy Workshops on Creative Art Photography. New Print Academies now being run by John are 'Close Up and Macro Photography', and 'Success in Colour' covering the process from taking a colour picture, through to producing an accurate colour print. John is one of the launch contributors to Lacock Photography. This is a tailor-made photographic centre in Lacock, Wiltshire, regarded as the birthplace of photography following the pioneering work there of Fox Talbot.
